Workshop

01

The workshop gives an introduction to accessible live coding with the software WELLE, designed for both sighted and visually impaired people. The WELLE software platform was developed by Jens Vetter to provide blind people with a simple, collaborative and playful music environment based on real-time programming, overcoming obstacles such as software installation or incomplete screen-reading integration. In the workshop, participants will receive an introduction to accessible live coding and learn how to use WELLE. Under the guidance of the workshop leader, they will be able to produce their own musical results with WELLE and present them afterwards. The workshop is designed for 10 participants, laptops with a Braille display or installed screen reader software must be brought along.
