Midi to Visuals

This workshop is a small introduction to generative design. In it a simple geometric animation is worked out in Processing4, based on five tools from the generative art toolbox (tiling, displacement, repetition, recursion, algorithms). The result is a parameterizable animation, which can be controlled via a USB-MIDI controller.

Required material:

• Please bring a laptop with Processing4
• as well as a USB-capable MIDI controller. (Which also works on the corresponding laptop)
