DIWO Week 2025
Collective spaces as a necessity for creativity and innovation.
For the fourth time, the Dresden association Metaknoten e.V. invites you to DIWO Week - the workshop festival that puts the collaborative idea of Do It With Others (DIWO) centre stage. From 12.05.2025 to 17.05.2025, veränderbar in Dresden's Neustadt district will be transformed into a temporary makerspace where artists, media makers and DIY enthusiasts will come together.
This year's overarching theme: ‘Collective spaces as a necessity for creativity and innovation’. Our guests, speakers and workshop leaders are representatives of various European cultural collectives. They were founded for very different reasons, have developed individually and are constantly facing new challenges. At DIWO Week, they share their experiences with us.
In the workshops, we get hands-on, expand our skills and build new things, from synthesisers to drawing robots. Lectures and talks provide insights into the artistic and technical work of the invited collectives. They talk about their challenges and the solutions they have found.
As a platform, DIWO Week offers a unique opportunity for dialogue between the most diverse players in the digital and creative scene, who otherwise rarely come together in this form. New ideas, projects and networks are created here - directly on site, tangible and sustainable.
